ChwanYu Enterprise Co., Ltd. was established in 1978 with 5 million TWD (equivalent to 139,000 USD) capital and 80 employees. Our president, Si-Yun Yang, led our company and focused on the manufacturing of casting parts of exercise and fitness equipment at that time and exported to overseas markets worldwide. The annual casting productivity was up to 15,000 tonnes, and our products were designated equipment for the weightlifting event of the Olympic Games in 1984. In the 80’s, cupola furnace was the mainstream to manufacture castings, however, relative concerns on casting quality consistency, energy consumption and environmental issues may result from its application. In 1991, ChwanYu introduced two induction furnaces to manufacture castings with stable and high-end quality, and the company capital was increased to 22 million TWD (equivalent to 800,000 USD) in the meantime. ChwanYu constantly invests in the state-of-the-art facilities and pursues innovative foundry technology to provide high quality castings to our valued customers. ChwanYu was awarded “Medal of premium product and casting technique” for three consecutive years from 1996 to 1998, and ChwanYu was the first casting company with this great achievement since Taiwan Foundry Society was established. Taiwan Foundry Society further praised ChwanYu with a special medal in 1998 for its great casting quality which is considered as the model of the foundry industry in Taiwan.
